People have been left shocked after a British tourist visited Walmart and highlighted the differences between UK and US supermarkets. In her TikTok video, @gabs.life0 took viewers with her on a shopping trip to Walmart, and she noticed several major differences, including the size of products and the flavours available.
Gabs captioned her video: "Things in Walmart that would put British people in a coma." Her caption added: "The UK could never." Narrating her video, she said: "Butter-flavoured spray. Popcorn butter. Crayola food colouring." She joked: "Sorry, but if a crayon is colouring my food, I'm not trusting it."
Next, the shopper showcased a selection of cakes from American brands. "I don't even wanna know how much sugar is in all of these cakes." Gabs added: "This spicy chicken and sausage gumbo. Cupcake icing in a squirty tin. That's the most vibrant hundreds and thousands you've ever seen in your life. This giant bag of pancake mix.

"The size of these bags of cereal. Come on. The size of these iced teas. This many Gatorade flavours. Cheese in a can. Fanta is so orange. More butter in a spray bottle. Why doesn't it go hard? This is what I wanna know.
"The absolute size of the milks, and for only $2.86, the UK just could never. The size of them Sunny Ds. All of these cold and flu tablet medicines. No limit on how big they are. The fact that you can buy Naproxen just on the shelf, when in the UK, you need a prescription for it."

Gabs' video proved to be very popular. It has been viewed more than one million times, and it has earned over 80,000 likes. Reacting to the post, someone wrote: "American stuff might be junk but it all looks so good."
A second fan said: "Ok but it’s still a dream as a uk girly to go to an American shop," and Gabs replied: "Oh 100%, it was the best thing ever!!"
Someone else commented: "The icing in a squirty tin is actually genius." However, a different commenter thought: "That is scary." Another viewer asked: "Why’s everything on XL mode?"
There were also lots of shocked responses from American shoppers. Someone replied: "Do you think people are eating all the large packages of food in one sitting? Americans buy a week or two worth of food for their entire family in one trip.
"Some people stock months' worth of non perishable items in their house." A commenter said: "I'm now convinced that bulk products are non-existent in Europe.
"Meaning they likely just buy multiples of a product so the whole family can have some. There's no way they would be shocked about a 32oz bag of cereal otherwise." A different viewer added: "Calling sprinkles hundreds and thousands is diabolical."
